About Dr. Pratt
Dr. Shelese Pratt N.D., decided to become a doctor after years of searching for quality health care. She wanted to serve those patients who were not able to get the health care they sought in a restrictive system. She studied naturopathic medicine, and subsequently shares the treatments she learned with the ultimate goal of improving patients health and quality of life.
Dr. Pratt graduated with a BA in Biology from the University of Colorado. In 2004, she graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) — a nationally recognized, 4-year medical program in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Pratt earned both a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and a certificate in homeopathic medicine, and spent 2 years in the Masters of Classical Chinese Medicine program while at NCNM. Because Colorado does not have licensure guidelines for Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Pratt attained her medical license and is board certified in Oregon, one of the strongest licensed states. She is also a Licensed Naturopathic Physician in the state of Connecticut. Dr. Pratt has been a member of both the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Physicians (CANP) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) since 2004.
In 1998, Dr. Pratt started working with Susan McCrossin, the founder of Brain Integration Technique (BIT). Dr. Pratt joined McCrossin's practice at the Learning Enhancement Center as a Naturopathic Doctor in October 2004 and apprenticed with her before her BIT certification in January 2006. Dr. Pratt was the lead instructor for the BIT pre-requisite course for several years.
Dr. Pratt runs several lecture series annually, welcoming the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience with groups nationwide.
In 2010, Dr. Pratt began work with the Autism Research Institute (ARI) to forge new answers to spectrum disorders and ADHD. In 2011, Dr. Pratt completed the ARI program and has integrated the biomedical approach to treating autism in her naturopathic practices in Colorado and Connecticut.
Dr. Shelese Pratt N.D. has a family practice and specializes in classical homeopathy, nutrition (diet and nutritional supplements), botanicals, and hydrotherapy. She also cares for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), learning difficulties (ADD, ADHD, and dyslexia), sensory processing disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, and mood disorders. In addition to classical naturopathic medical protocols, Dr. Pratt also employs Crossinology's Brain Integration Technique (BIT) in her practice. She believes that each individual is unique and tailors a treatment plan specific to each patient. Dr. Pratt treats the majority of her patients (national and international), at her main clinic in Niwot, Colorado. Dr. Pratt runs several lecture series annually, welcoming the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience with groups nationwide.
